When it comes to salad I love one that is full bodied, full of flavor and texture. It had been a while since I last Asian chicken salad but I always loved the brightness of the dish! This will be the fan favorite when it comes to salads and will be gone before you know it!

This salad is really customizable because you can choose flavors, textures, and protein. This is the flavor profile I used, but you can really change it up any way you want! What I think really adds to the flavor of this salad is the freshness of the herbs. Using fresh green onion, cilantro, and mint is one of my favorite combinations of herbs to use together.

First, chop your greens. You can use any type but I like the crunch of romaine. To add a bit of color I also like slicing some purple cabbage! Once you have the base of your salad, it is time to add the fresh vegetables. I add carrots, cucumber, edamame, and mandarin oranges! The acidity of the oranges is what is my favorite part about this salad.

To make the sesame dressing, 1 tbsp of mayonnaise, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, 1 tbsp white wine vinegar, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp orange juice, 1 tsp ginger and 1 tsp of honey. Mix well and set aside. For added texture, fry your wonton pieces. You can buy these pre-made at the store, however, I find they have a funny after taste!
