This is such a simple drink recipe that is sure to bring you all of the Halloween Chills. As a child, Halloween was one of my favorite holidays. Seriously, it is so underrated. I loved the atmosphere of a chilly night dressed up in that year’s trending costume. Going out trick-or-treating with your friends made the evening fly by. Then, of course you have to have a candy trade at the end!

These were core memories that I will never forget. But as a growing young adult, there is this weird in between where the magic feels a bit different. It does not feel as festive. You are too old to trick-or-treat, but don’t plan of having a family. I wanted to make something that felt festive, tasted delicious, but were fun for all of us in-betweeners! This is my easy Spooky Sweet and Sour Apple “Frankenstein” Martini!

This recipe is so simple. First we want to rim the glass for a festive effect. I used corn syrup as the binder. A light dip is all you need. Then use festive sprinkles! I used purple ones from Kroger and black ones from Michael’s. I thought this would be perfect for Frankenstein colors. Next, it is time to make the drink.

Simply add ice to a shaker and pour in 1 oz Vodka or Apple Vodka, 2 oz Green Apple Liquor, and 1 oz of sweet and sour mix. Give this a good shake and pour into your martini glass. For a little added fun, add 1 small cube of dry ice. You can get dry ice at most large commercial stores. 1) Buy dry ice the day of the event as close to serving as possible. It will melt. 2) DO NOT touch dry ice with your bare hands. It is so cold it can burn if contact on skin is long enough. If you accidentally touch it, you will be okay, but just use gloves or tongs and use caution. Optional is to garnish with a little black gummy candy!
