It is National Hot Dog Day, and we are celebrating bigger than ever! There are only two parts to this recipe but they go so well together! Large chargrilled hot dogs and gooey and cheesy Mac and cheese are a pair made from heaven! This recipe is simple and easy!

The main star of this recipe is the deliciously loaded Mac and cheese. It is gooey, so cheesy and creamy. The best part about it is how easy it is to make! I will briefly run over a few instructions on how to make it, but if you want the full recipe, it is HERE.

First, we need to grill our dogs! I found these jumbo dogs in my local store, but any hot dog will do! If you want, you can use sausage, brat, whatever you like! After your dogs have grilled, about 10-12 minutes, grill your buns. Seriously this is so delicious, I love grilled bread! For my buns, I used Brioche. I personally like these the best because they are shiny, and hold their shape better. Any bun will do but I felt with how large the dogs were, these were the best kind.

For the Mac and cheese, you want to boil your pasta as instructed. Remove the pasta and add in heavy cream and seasonings. When the heavy cream begins to simmer, cut the heat and add 1/2 of your cheese mixture. Toss in your pasta again and add stir. Add the remaining half of the cheese and enjoy! Again the full breakdown of the recipe can be found HERE. To make the bread crumbs, but gently heat 1/2 1 tbsp of butter with 1/4 cup of bread crumbs in a skillet until they begin to change to a slightly darker color. Season with Italian Seasoning and remove from heat and set aside.

To assemble, lay your hot dog down in your grilled bun. Top with the delicious Mac and cheese. To make these loaded, top with bacon, bread crumbs, and chives!
